HyperBike
58" shaft set for larger minis
How comfortable is the HyperBike for my horse? Due to it's light weight and low drag, most miniature horses seem to "come alive" when put to the HyperBike. The frame's ability to absorb shock means less transmitted shock to the horse.  The HyperBike is a superb conditioning tool to build endurance and stamina or for rehabilitation after surgery or injury. The HyperBike is also very well suited to the smallest of miniature horses.
How comfortable is the HyperBike for me? Because of its' unique design, the HyperBike carries its' driver differently than any other cart. The frame's ability to flex and the comfort of the seat makes the HyperBike a more comfortable cart than one might expect. To determine if the HyperBike's seating arrangement will be comfortable for you, do the following:
1. Sit on the floor with your back to a wall,
2. Spread your legs 30-40 degrees, and
3. Bend your knees.
If this position is comfortable, the HyperBike will be very comfortable for you. We have several customers who report routine 2-3 hour long drives with no discomfort.

How do you get in and out of the HyperBike? First, it is very important that your horse stands quietly while you enter and exit the cart. To enter, step one leg over the shaft, then the other so that you are standing between the horse and the seat. Sit and bring your feet up over the shafts and rest them in the open stirrups.

Is the HyperBike a good training cart? It is our opinion that a heavier cart is better suited to training green horses and drivers. However, it is a very safe cart for trained horses and drivers.

What is the load rating of the HyperBike?
250 lbs.

How do you balance the cart? The HyperBike uses a seat slider to fine tune the balance. This allows two differently weighted people to be in perfect balance.
What kind of maintenance does the HyperBike require?
As with any fine work, we recommend that the HyperBike be kept indoors and out of the weather except when in use. As such, it will be outdoors much of the time...
Routine inspection includes axle and shaft pins and steel spokes and hubs. Greasing the axle pin sockets and shaft receivers is recommended at least every 6 months. Cleanup and greasing should take place after every beach or related drive.
How can I transport the HyperBike? The HyperBike can be transported in one piece as with most carts or it can be be quickly disassembled without tools to transport or store in a very small area. The HyperBike's features allow the shafts and wheels to be removed in a snap.
Does the HyperBike require a special harness? In general, no. We have seen all manner of harness work well with the 'Bike. At times, an additional trace slot may need to be cut. Standard reins will be long; most customers sit on any excess rein.
The horse is so close. Can it kick me? Because the horse IS so close, body mechanics in general won't allow for this to happen. However, if your horse has a habit of bucking or kicking, we recommend additional training to eliminate this behavior. In this case, the use of a bucking strap is also recommended.

Will my horse "eliminate" on me? (yep, it's been asked!) Perhaps if you're going really really  fast... No, we have never heard of this happening. Gravity takes care of this concern.
